Honoring the Past - Bridging the Future

The Houston Gerontological Society is pleased to invite you to Honoring the Past - Bridging the Future. At this special dinner, we will celebrate our 25th Anniversary and honor select Houston pioneers in the fields of gerontology and geriatrics as well as also recognize the contributions of individuals mentored by these great leaders, and who have become the field's next generation of pioneers. Proceeds from Honoring the Past - Bridging the Future will benefit the Ruth DeHart Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship honoring of one of the founders of HGS and an early leader in the community of geriatric professionals.
George Niederehe Ph.D., Chief of the Geriatrics Research Branch at the National Institute of Mental Health, will be the keynote speaker. Houston attorney and former City Council Member, Gordon Quan, will join us as Master of Ceremonies.
Attendees of Honoring the Past - Bridging the Future will include academic and medical community professionals, retirement and long term care facility professionals, staff of city and state agencies, representative of local and national organizations serving the elderly and their families, and professionals in the financial, legal and business community providing services and supplies to the elderly.
Sponsorship opportunities are available. Individual tickets are $55 each. Tickets and sponsorships will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
It is our hope that you will showcase your support of the gerontology community by attending Honoring the Past - Bridging the Future. We are excited about this event and look forward to seeing you there.
